What Payment Methods Do You Accept?
Silver Taxi accepts multiple forms of payment. Available options may vary by trip type and driver/vehicle. Dispatch will confirm payment expectations when coordinating your ride.
- Cash (Bakersfield pickups only)

- Mobile Payments (Zelle, Venmo, Cash App)

PREPAYMENT
When Is Prepayment Required?
Prepayment may be required for certain trip types to confirm availability and protect drivers. This typically applies to:
- Out-of-area pickups (outside Bakersfield)
- Long-distance / intercity trips
- Courier / delivery requests
- Hourly services or specialty requests (deposits may apply)
QUOTES
How Do Quotes Work?
Dispatch provides quotes based on the trip details you provide at the time of the request. Quotes may change if the trip details change.

TRIP CHANGES
What If the Trip Details Change After the Driver Arrives?
Drivers may confirm trip details again when they arrive to ensure accuracy. If the destination, passengers, luggage/items, or stops change from what was provided to dispatch, the total may increase or dispatch may need to re-confirm the ride.
This protects customers and drivers and helps prevent misunderstandings.
CAPACITY
How Many Passengers Can You Take?
Vehicle capacity depends on the vehicle assigned by dispatch. To comply with safety requirements and traffic laws:
- Sedans typically accommodate 3–4 passengers
- Minivans accommodate up to 6 passengers
- Passenger count must be confirmed at booking
- Excess luggage or large items must be disclosed in advance

How Can I Get Faster Service?
For fast dispatch, be ready with your exact pickup address, destination, passenger count, and luggage/items. Not knowing your location or destination may delay coordination.
LOST ITEMS
What If I Left Something in the Vehicle?
Please check the vehicle before exiting. If you believe you left an item behind, contact dispatch as soon as possible with pickup location, approximate time, and a description of the item.
